On July 23rd, 2012 golfers gathered from far and wide for the 18th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Eagles Nest Golf Club in support of the MukiBaum Accessibility Foundation. Though the weather was very hot, golfers and staff were in great spirits and helped raise over $63,100.00 net towards valuable programs at MukiBaum Treatment Centres and in the community at large.
MukiBaum would like to extend a big thank you to our Event Sponsor, Sherrard Kuzz Barristers and Solicitors for their generous loyal support of this tournament, providing players with Heys duffle bags and the chance to enter the helicopter ball drop and win a trip to the fabulous Jewel at Dunn’s River Resory in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. A special thanks to Gold Sponsors, Kinross Gold Corporation and Nehama & Moshe Baum; Silver Sponsors, Ram Iron & Metal Inc., Pals Staffing Services and the Maintenance & Construction Skilled Trades Council; Ball Sponsor, National Bank; and to all our generous hole sponsors, donors and volunteers.
The tournament morning welcomed golfers with massages and adjustments from the wonderful students at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, samples of Steam Whistle Brewery's refreshing brew and the cheesy delights of Smoke's Poutinerie. On course attendees were treated to a BBQ Lunch by Cobs Bread and M&M Meats as well as more delicious sampling from the friendly staff of Cobs on their snack hole. Along the way golfers tried their skills on several challenging holes sponsored by Yorkdale Ford, Lincoln Paving, Barberian's Steak House, BMW and of course the Beat the Pro challenge sponsored by Skechers and the skilled talents of our pro, John Bonis.
MukiBaum would like to thank everyone who participated in this exciting and prosperous day. From our helpful volunteers to our generous golfers, this event would not be possible without the help of each and every one of you.
