Not all fabric is suitable for slipcovers. As a general rule, it is best to avoid very heavy fabrics such as chenille and velvets as they may not adapt very well to the shape a sofa or chair. But rules are meant to be broken and these materials can be good for a very custom-made, structured look. But as a general rule, slipcover fabric should usually be of medium-weight to more easily fit over your furniture.
This sofa can be converted into an extra bed for guests. The newest convertibles have an inflatable mattress, making the bed more comfortable than in years past and ensuring your company will stay longer, which may or may not be a pleasant circumstance. Contemporary sleeper sofas may simply flatten out to create a bed, and is perfect for when you don't want extra cushions laying on the floor in the middle of the night. Although sleeper sofas aren´t known for comfort, you can purchase padded mattress covers to place on top of the provided mattress.
Sunlight can bleach certain fabrics, and in other cases cause them to fade and deteriorate over time, so it’s important not to leave your sofa in a sunny spot. If the back of the piece is exposed to sunlight all the time, it will eventually fade to a lighter color than the front, and vice verse. Or if half is in the sun, it will fade to a lighter color than the other half. Or if you keep a throw pillow in the same spot, you’ll notice a significant difference in color when you remove it. Keep your sofa out of the sun, or at least rotate it regularly to keep it looking new.
